Evangelistic Preaching

EVANGELISTIC PREACHING THAT YOUR CHURCH CAN TRUST

Pastors are very careful about which guest preachers that they invite to preach in their pulpits. Simply put, Pastors do not want a guest preacher who is going to preach controversial sermons that go against church teachings and stir up unwanted trouble. Instead, they want uplifting biblically based sermons by experienced, qualified and caring evangelists who are sensitive to the Holy Spirit, and who also care about the special needs of each church. Pastors want an evangelist who has been saved, baptized, called, mentored, educated, and who is not a novice to the pulpit.

MICHAEL BRINGS 25 YEARS OF PREACHING EXPERIENCE TO YOUR PULPIT

Michael Schmidt was saved and baptized at the age of eleven when a retired postman named Curtis Hutson started a small Baptist church that grew into Georgia's largest Sunday school shared the gospel with him. Michael soon was baptized by Dr. Hutson, and became a member of Forrest Hills Baptist Church. Michael has since then remained a member of a local Bible believing church as Michael strongly believes that a Para church ministry should serve through a strong local body of Christ.

After Dr. Hutson moved to Tennessee to become the editor of the Sword of the Lord (after Dr. John R. Rice went to be with the Lord ), Michael became a member of Moody Press Author Dale Crawshaw's church in Lawrenceville, Ga. It was while a member of that church that Michael met Rev. Dickie Hill .While praying with Pastor Hill, Michael told him " I have played the trumpet for the world, and the world does not satisfy". It was then that Michael accepted his call to preach and to play the trumpet for Jesus. Michael soon became a member of the Florida Bible College Brass Ensemble where he studied music under Hartlin Cruver ( who became well known for his popular little monkey puppet trumpet playing helper, Rev. Cruver taught Michael how to use puppets to help him play his trumpet. Ask Michael about the unique option of using puppets to help him play his trumpet in your church) , and beloved Billy Graham Revival soloist Strett Shufelt.

Michael also studied the Bible under well known youth ranch leader Dr. Mike Shaffer, and former Dean of Tennessee Temple University Dr. Mark G. Cambron. After graduating from Florida Bible College, Michael went on to study the Bible at Liberty University where he played lead solo trumpet in the Liberty University Marching Band, and also in the Old Time Gospel Hour Orchestra under the direction of Dr. David Randlet, and popular Southern Gospel singer Robbie Hiner of the Old Time Gospel Hour Quartet. Michael was blessed to have studied at Liberty University under many well known teachers. Michael studied homiletics under T.T.U. President Dr. Danny Lovett, church growth under Dr. Elmer Towns, music from Dr. Raymond Locy, 20th century theology from Dr. John Morrison, church administration under Dr. Frank Schmitt, O.T. from Dr. Richard Patterson, and church history from Dr. Carl Diemer.

As a former senior pastor and three time youth minister, Michael has a great deal of preaching experience. Mike has had the honor of providing pulpit supply for hundreds of churches over the last 25 years. Many senior pastors have so much confidence in Michael's preaching abilities that they often schedule him to preach for them while they are on their vacations or while they are sick. Michael's preaching will bless your congregation. It is known for being dynamic, biblically based, solid, trustworthy, fun, friendly and warm.
